Take the lead in maintaining and enhancing a compliance framework within a Perth Based Education provider. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful change by developing, implementing and maintaining the organisations legislative framework and ensuring they uphold the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the organisation adheres to its legislative and regulatory obligations. By maintaining a robust compliance framework, providing expert advice, and managing executive reporting, you’ll directly contribute to the organisation’s ability to operate effectively and meet its commitments to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and oversight on compliance issues including strategic analysis and insights to the management team regarding compliance matters and their resolution.
- Identify, assess and review compliance risks, treatments, accountabilities and related aspects.
- Perform timely reviews on the legislative compliance framework and systems.
- Ensure the organisation maintains compliance, frameworks, databases and records.
- Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to plan, review, develop and provide advice and assistance compliance matters to ensure, compliance to processes, policies, standards and guidelines.
- Undertake risk assessment in conjunction with Risk to integrate compliance into the broader risk management strategy.
- Maintain adherence with legislation changes ensuring timely updates to policies and procedures.
- Provide relevant compliance training.
- Operationalise compliance policies and procedures.
- Investigate potential or actual breaches of compliance.
- Proven experience in compliance management, with a solid understanding of legislative and regulatory environments. Education or Public sector highly regarded.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret legislation and identify practical solutions.
- Clear and confident communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- A hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving and delivering results.
