Join a close-knit Risk and Compliance team at a well-regarded insurance provider that's actively investing in growing the function.
- Hands-on Risk and Compliance Analyst role with genuine variety across incident management, reporting and Protecht system ownership
- Growing risk function backed by strong executive and board support, with a genuine pathway to progress
- $100k + Super | Hybrid role, 2 days in the office (Thursdays are a must)
Reporting diretly to the CRO, you'll act as a support function for the broader team while driving several initiatives in your own right. It's a role that rewards someone with sharp attention to detail and the lateral thinking to understand not just how a risk framework is designed, but how it actually plays out day to day. The business is putting more resource behind risk and compliance, so there's a clear runway here for someone who wants to build on this role over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Protecht administration sits with you, from managing day-to-day system changes to delivering training and support across the business
- Incident coordination is a core part of the role, triaging incidents as they're logged, assessing severity, assigning ownership and guiding issues through to closure
- Reporting and insights you'll own, including weekly incident reports, Power BI reporting built alongside the data analytics team, and quarterly Non-Financial Risk reporting for the risk committee and board
- Controls assurance and reviews round out the role, giving you extra exposure to additional assurance work and ad hoc reviews as they come up
- 3+ years' experience in a risk, compliance or controls-related role, ideally within financial services or another regulated industry
- Genuine hands-on experience with Protecht or a similar Enterprise Risk Management system
- A background in incident management, root cause analysis or controls assurance, with the analytical rigour to properly unpack detail
- Confidence preparing reporting and insights for senior stakeholders and committees
- Tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline; risk management accreditation is a plus
- A critical, lateral thinker who's driven rather than simply capable, and who can see the bigger picture behind the process
- Genuine and well-supported pathway to grow within an expanding risk function
- Hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office (Thursdays essential)
- A small, tight-knit team environment backed by real executive investment in risk maturity
- Broad exposure across systems, incident management, reporting and assurance, ideal for someone wanting to round out their risk and compliance skill set early
