Leading Perth University has an exciting opening for a Project Risk Adviser. This position provides essential risk management support to strategic project stakeholders. You will be responsible for facilitating project risk workshops and ensuring effective risk mitigations are in place.
Duties
- Support key project stakeholders to clearly identify, articulate, monitor, and escalate risks.
- Lead project risk reviews, engaging risk workshops, and monitor risk mitigation activities.
- Maintain risk information in enterprise risk management system
- Gather and consolidate risk data from various programs and projects, making sure it’s ready for reporting to the appropriate governance bodies.
- Co-ordinate risk and assurance activities related to program stage gate reviews and lend a hand with internal audit activities for programs and projects.
- Support the wider Enterprise Risk team with various risk management and assurance activities.
- Participate in team and individual planning activities
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent expertise.
- Proven track record in project risk management in higher education or a complex business.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to organise and convey information, ideas, and concepts clearly and engagingly to diverse audiences. Experience with Power BI is a valuable asset but not essential
- Skilled in investigating and analysing problems to identify root causes and related issues, generating practical solutions while weighing alternatives, benefits, and costs.
- Strong sense of accountability and transparency in achieving organisational goals.
- Strategic thinking to support the long-term vision and commercial aspirations of the university.
