Reporting to the Head of Compliance, this role is pivotal in leading & shaping how compliance is managed across the Australia & New Zealand entities of this global firm.
This is a unique opportunity to take on a broad role, ensuring the business adheres to the highest regulatory, legal, and ethical standards working with excellent and highly regarded leadership.
You will play a pivotal role in driving the compliance culture acting as a key advisor to senior management & executives. You will be responsible for ensuring risk and compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements as well as in-house policies and procedures for Australia and New Zealand. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Act as the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”)
- Provide expert guidance on compliance matters across the organisation and the regulators.
- Conduct risk & compliance monitoring and investigation into incidents on a timely basis.
- Liaise and deal with Internal Audit inspections or enquiries
- Perform risk & compliance induction to new staff and provide ongoing risk & compliance training to existing staff
- Prepare relevant risk & compliance management information & reports
- Participate in ad hoc risk & compliance related projects
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in compliance, Financial Crime or legal within financial services (high priority given to those with experience in trust/corporate/fund administration)
- Solid experience in managing risk & compliance framework in accordance to regulations
- Sound knowledge of the Australian regulatory landscape
- Proven ability to influence and engage at all levels of an organisation, offering clear advice and building relationships with internal stakeholders, senior management, and regulatory bodies.
- Hybrid working, typically 3 days home/2 days in the office. Ultimately, work where you work best
