• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including SaaS, technology, service, licensing and confidentiality agreements.
• Partner with commercial, product, marketing and data insights teams, providing clear and practical advice to non-legal stakeholders.
• Help resolve contract disputes by interpreting rights and obligations and recommending a practical path forward.
• Improve standard form agreements, templates and contracting workflows, and help select and implement legal tech and AI tools.
• Manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision, using sound judgment and knowing when to escalate.
• Advise on privacy and data protection, including the Australian and New Zealand Privacy Acts, and related information security issues.
• Manage privacy requests and support compliance and governance matters.
• Support regulated customer engagements, aligning contracts with requirements such as APRA CPS 234, PCI-DSS, SOC 2 and relevant industry codes.
• Experience in telecommunications, financial services, digital assets or insurance, or with telco anti-scam regulation, is highly regarded.
Benefits
• Meaningful work that directly supports the fight against financial crime.
• Real ownership over your deliverables, with influence on business strategy.
• The autonomy to make decisions and shape practical solutions.
• Strong commercial exposure through regular work with key stakeholders and business functions.
• Direct access to decision makers in a small, growing company.
• Variety and impact across the entire business.
• Room to progress as the business grows.
• Hands-on involvement in building legal operations maturity and choosing the right tools.
• Flexible 2 day hybrid working and a culture that respects boundaries.
• Smart, approachable, non-hierarchical colleagues.
