A leading superannuation fund is seeking an experienced Governance Specialist to join its governance division on an immediate-start contract. In this role, you will work closely with the Company Secretary and Senior Manager, providing full secretariat and governance support to the Board and its Management Committees.

This is a hands-on position managing highly confidential information, engage with senior stakeholders across the organisation, and help keep the fund's governance framework running smoothly under tight timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver end-to-end secretariat services, including minute taking, action registers, agendas, papers, attendance and quorum checks, and meeting conduct.
  • Review Board and Committee papers, offering thoughtful advice on content and resolutions to support informed decision-making.
  • Support the review of governance policies to ensure they meet regulatory, legislative, and industry best-practice standards.
  • Maintain Board and Committee skill matrices, and assist with annual and triennial performance reviews for the Board, Committees, and Directors.
  • Ensure the governance and statutory information published on the fund's website remains accurate and current.
  • Contribute to the Annual Integrated Report from a governance perspective.
  • Coordinate the annual response to the AIST Governance Code.
  • Provide back-up support to the wider governance team and assist on major projects as needed.
Experience
  • A background in superannuation and/or corporate governance.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Confidence managing senior stakeholders and competing priorities under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and a track record of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication, particularly in minute taking and paper preparation.
Beyond a competitive daily rate, this contract offers a clear pathway to a permanent role for the right person, along with the chance to work at the heart of a major fund's decision-making.
