Step into a truly unique role that combines strategic credit risk management with hands-on engagement in a rapidly evolving financial services business. We are searching for a Manager, Credit Risk to take ownership of a multi-faceted role where your contributions will shape not just the team but the broader business impact.

The Opportunity

Join a small, flat-structured team & play a key role in managing credit risk across diverse portfolios. From writing detailed credit papers to guiding pricing and security enquiries, your expertise will directly influence business outcomes while supporting the development of efficient policies and processes. With exposure to senior management and regulatory matters, this is a role where you’ll not just contribute, you’ll be able to lead and grow.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage credit papers, including annual reviews, onboarding, and ongoing portfolio management.
  • Undertake both line 1 and line 2 risk functions, monitor security positions, measure exchange settlement account levels, and handle exposure monitoring.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations team, Relationship Managers, and Business Development Managers on new opportunities and approvals.
  • Address pricing and security enquiries, offer guidance to internal teams, and help automate and enhance reporting processes.
  • Work on bi-monthly reporting packs to the board, contributing insights that shape policy and strategic direction.
  • Identify emerging risks and implement proactive solutions quickly unconstrained by the typical red tape of larger institutions.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven credit experience across financial institutions and corporate portfolios, with a strong ability to analyse risk, prepare credit papers, and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with credit analysis techniques, lending practices and loan security documentation
  • A strategic mindset, backed by hands-on problem-solving skills and the confidence to work independently.
  • Highly collaborative skills with a track record of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is highly regarded.
