  • End-to-end control testing, monitoring and remediation, working closely with the Head of Governance & Assurance.
  • Build the dashboards and monitoring tools that shape the control environment.
  • Sydney based. Permanent, full time. Hybrid 50/50.
The Role

Working closely with the Head of Governance & Assurance, you will design, supervise and execute risk-based control testing plans. You'll provide the tested evidence that underpins certification and audit cycles and partner with IT, governance and external stakeholders to close control gaps. You will also be responsible for:
  • Running control testing, including walkthroughs, sampling and evidence review.
  • Identifying and assessing control deficiencies and recommending remediation.
  • Developing and maintaining monitoring dashboards to track compliance metrics.
  • Reporting regularly to the Head of Governance & Assurance on testing outcomes and issues.
  • Managing the issues and remediation register through to timely closure.
  • Supporting governance models and compliance obligation mapping.
  • Leading awareness and testing across competition and conflicts of interest, segregation of duties, delegated authorities and governance models.
Skills and Experience

You'll be a detail-oriented, tech-savvy controls specialist who is comfortable with data-driven insights and finds better ways to monitor and test.
  • 6+ years' experience in risk management, compliance and/or controls testing.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing risk-based control testing plans.
  • Strong skills in building monitoring dashboards and tracking compliance metrics.
  • Experience managing issues and remediation registers to timely resolution.
  • Knowledge of governance models, obligation mapping, conflicts of interest and segregation of duties.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with adaptability and resilience across competing priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder skills and a collaborative style.
  • Relevant risk or compliance qualifications and experience in a regulated industry or professional services are highly regarded.
