Responsibilities
- Help maintain and improve the overarching compliance management framework.
- Evaluate internal incidents and conduct thorough breach assessments in line with RG78 and internal standards.
- Advise business units on their regulatory duties, manage the obligations register, and execute impact assessments.
- Deliver clear, timely compliance guidance to stakeholders across the organization.
- Conduct regular monitoring tasks to ensure proper compliance oversight and control maintenance.
- Track shifts in the legal and regulatory landscape, sharing crucial updates with the Head of Compliance.
- Draft detailed compliance updates, incident reports, and risk profiles for executive committees and the board.
- Partner with various departments to integrate risk management smoothly into daily operations.
- A degree in Business, Commerce, Law, Risk Management, Finance, or a similar field.
- Between 5 and 8 years of dedicated compliance experience within the financial services sector.
- Strong background in handling incident management and breach reporting processes.
- Deep understanding of Australian regulatory standards and enterprise risk principles.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, backed by sharp attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills to balance multiple tasks, manage projects, and deliver on time.
- A proactive, commercial mindset ready to navigate a fast-moving environment and build relationships at all business levels.
