Ink Recruitment is thrilled to partner with a leading Insurer to find a dedicated Compliance Specialist. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will help safeguard the business by ensuring regulatory obligations are met efficiently. This position gives you the chance to guide internal teams, handle day-to-day compliance matters, and foster a strong culture of accountability. You will act as a key resource for the business, translating complex rules into practical business steps.
 
Responsibilities
  • Help maintain and improve the overarching compliance management framework.
  • Evaluate internal incidents and conduct thorough breach assessments in line with RG78 and internal standards.
  • Advise business units on their regulatory duties, manage the obligations register, and execute impact assessments.
  • Deliver clear, timely compliance guidance to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Conduct regular monitoring tasks to ensure proper compliance oversight and control maintenance.
  • Track shifts in the legal and regulatory landscape, sharing crucial updates with the Head of Compliance.
  • Draft detailed compliance updates, incident reports, and risk profiles for executive committees and the board.
  • Partner with various departments to integrate risk management smoothly into daily operations.
Skills and Experience
  • A degree in Business, Commerce, Law, Risk Management, Finance, or a similar field.
  • Between 5 and 8 years of dedicated compliance experience within the financial services sector.
  • Strong background in handling incident management and breach reporting processes.
  • Deep understanding of Australian regulatory standards and enterprise risk principles.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, backed by sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills to balance multiple tasks, manage projects, and deliver on time.
  • A proactive, commercial mindset ready to navigate a fast-moving environment and build relationships at all business levels.
