Take the lead in maintaining and enhancing a compliance framework within a Sydney Based Public Financial Corporation operating under its own legislation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful change by ensuring the organisation fulfills its regulatory obligations, empowers executive leadership, and upholds the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
As Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organisation adheres to its legislative and regulatory obligations. By maintaining a robust compliance framework, providing expert advice, and managing government reporting, you’ll directly contribute to the organisation’s ability to operate effectively and meet its commitments to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and continuously improve the compliance framework, including testing plans, incident management, and reporting.
- Monitor the regulatory landscape for new or amended obligations, providing insights and recommendations to senior executives.
- Oversee government reporting, including Treasury submissions, Senate Orders, and Questions on Notice.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs to engage and educate staff.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, Treasury, and other government entities.
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field (mandatory).
- Proven experience in compliance management, with a solid understanding of legislative and regulatory environments.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret legislation and identify practical solutions.
- Clear and confident communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- A hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving and delivering results.
- Australian citizenship is required for this role.
