Compliance Manager

Our client in the financial services sector, is seeking a skilled Compliance Manager to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This role will see you driving compliance initiatives, supporting regulatory adherence, and embedding best practices into the business’s operations.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the organisation meets and exceeds its compliance obligations. Key responsibilities include:
  • Implementing and overseeing risk and compliance policies in alignment with Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) obligations.
  • Managing legal and compliance matters, such as contracts, agreements, and sanction screening.
  • Leading third-party risk management initiatives, including contract reviews and supplier monitoring.
  • Supporting the business in complaints handling, breach management, and customer communication processes.
  • Monitoring legislative changes, updating policies, and providing training to ensure compliance readiness.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including insurer compliance teams, to ensure all processes and materials meet regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an organised and proactive compliance expert with the following qualifications:
  • A law degree and a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in insurance or financial services law.
  • A strong track record in regulatory compliance, risk frameworks, and contract management.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
