Our client in the financial services sector, is seeking a skilled Compliance Manager to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This role will see you driving compliance initiatives, supporting regulatory adherence, and embedding best practices into the business’s operations.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the organisation meets and exceeds its compliance obligations. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and overseeing risk and compliance policies in alignment with Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) obligations.
- Managing legal and compliance matters, such as contracts, agreements, and sanction screening.
- Leading third-party risk management initiatives, including contract reviews and supplier monitoring.
- Supporting the business in complaints handling, breach management, and customer communication processes.
- Monitoring legislative changes, updating policies, and providing training to ensure compliance readiness.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including insurer compliance teams, to ensure all processes and materials meet regulatory requirements.
We’re seeking an organised and proactive compliance expert with the following qualifications:
- A law degree and a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in insurance or financial services law.
- A strong track record in regulatory compliance, risk frameworks, and contract management.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
